Lire Logo Lire Journal (Journal of Linguistics and Literature) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published twice a year—in March and October—by the English Department, Universitas Bangka Belitung, Indonesia. As a fully open-access journal, all articles are freely available to readers worldwide, ensuring the rapid and broad dissemination of research findings in the areas of linguistics, literature, and cultural studies.

The journal aims to be a leading platform for high-quality academic research, providing scholars, researchers, and practitioners with an outlet to publish original, cutting-edge work. Lire Journal covers a diverse range of topics, including theoretical linguistics, literary analysis, and cultural studies, while emphasizing innovative research methodologies and critical perspectives. By featuring such a wide scope, the journal ensures that readers from multiple disciplines gain access to comprehensive and insightful perspectives on current trends and debates within these interconnected fields.

Lire Journal is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), reflecting its commitment to global accessibility and adherence to the highest standards of open scholarly communication. As part of its open-access policy, the journal encourages the free exchange of knowledge, making research available without subscription or paywalls, fostering broader academic collaboration and enhancing the journal’s impact.

Since adopting a continuous publication model from Volume 6, Issue 1 (2022), accepted manuscripts are made available online as soon as they complete the review and editorial process, further expediting the dissemination of new research. This progressive approach aligns with the journal’s mission to promote timely knowledge-sharing within the academic community, leveraging the Open Journal System (OJS) for seamless online access.

Accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology under SINTA 3 since 2018 (with accreditation valid until 2027), Lire Journal upholds rigorous academic standards, ensuring the quality and reliability of its published works. This accreditation reflects the journal's ongoing commitment to contributing substantively to scholarly discussions, both nationally and internationally, within the fields of linguistics and literature.
