Manuscript Preparation

Authors submitting manuscripts to Lire Journal (Journal of Linguistics and Literature) must ensure that their submission conforms to the journal's formatting and structural requirements. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the following guidelines. 1. General Format:

  • Font: Manuscripts must be typed in Cambria font, size 11 pt, with single spacing throughout.
  • Margins: Use 3 cm margins on the top and left sides, and 2.54 cm for bottom and right sides of each page.
  • Title: The title of the manuscript should be concise (less than 12 words), written in capital letters, centered, and use Cambria, size 12 pt. Avoid abbreviations or formulas in the title.

2. Article Sections:

  • Abstract: The abstract should be a maximum of 300 words, clearly summarizing the research, including the introduction, objectives, method, findings, and conclusion. It must be written in both English and Indonesian.
  • Keywords: Include 3-5 keywords relevant to the study, listed in alphabetical order.
  • Introduction: Present the background, research gap, objectives, and the significance of the study. This section should take up around 15-20% of the total article length.
  • Method: Describe the research design, data sources, data collection methods, and analysis in 10-15% of the article length.
  • Findings and Discussion: Present and discuss the research findings in relation to relevant theories and literature. This section should make up 40-60% of the article length.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the key findings, addressing the research objectives concisely. Avoid introducing new information in this section.

3. Table and Figure Guidelines:

  • Tables: Use horizontal lines only in tables, avoiding vertical lines. Include a table number and a clear title above each table. Example: Table 1. Research Data.
  • Figures: Ensure figures are of high resolution and include a figure number and a title below each figure. Example: Figure 1. Study Results.

4. Citation and References:

  • All citations must follow APA style, with in-text citations in parentheses, including the last name and year. Example: (Smith, 2020).
  • Direct quotes must include page numbers. Example: (Smith, 2020, p. 15).
  • All references must be listed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript, following the APA 7th edition style.

5. Submission Length:
The length of the manuscript should be between 4000 and 7000 words or 10-17 pages, excluding references, tables, and figures.
